Baby Dedications and Baptisms

A Dedication is a Christian ceremony that dedicates the infant to God and welcomes the baby into the church. During this ceremony, the parents also dedicate themselves to raising the child as a Christian.

One family said of their child’s Dedication:

“When we dedicated our children I felt that God gave our children to us as a blessing and we dedicated them back to him for safe keeping, until they were old enough to accept God on their own.”

Baptism is the sacrament of entry into the Christian Church and can be administered to both adults and children.

The difference between Dedication & Baptism is both are Christian ceremonies, but baptism involves water while dedication does not. Baptism is an act of openly identifying with what Christ did on the cross. On the other hand, dedication is a ceremony in which Christian parents dedicate their infant to God and make a promise to raise their child in a godly way.

We carry out both services and for more information please contact us if you would like to find out more.
